About the Business
Established in 1951, Steve Tomkinson took over from his father 30 years ago. Originally plumbing and heating, the business rapidly grew to provide a full heating service including repairs. With the introduction of multi-fuel stoves 30 years ago, the business turned into a one-stop shop for heating services for home and industrial purposes. The company moved into its present property in 1986 that had originally been owned by the co-op food stores. We still have some of the original glass signs!
Due to our strong enigineering background we have always pushed to be at the leading edge of heating technology. Over the past 10 years, the push for greener heating systems has become a very important part of our business. This has lead us to be one of the North-west specialists in Biomass and solar heating systems.
With 23 current employees including two sons, we are continually expanding our expertise in the heating industry.

Macclesfield, CheshireDO NOT USE! Poor after service, serviced my gas fire 6 weeks later the internal walls started to fall into the fire, 14 weeks later it had completely collapsed into the fire. Had the fire for 18 years and it’s never done this, they obviously didn’t fit it back right and over time it’s slowly collapsed. Called back to inform them and a very nice lady said they would be able to pop back and sort it after the COVID situation as they were dealing with emergency’s only, which I totally understood. Left it a good few months and called back and they were happy to call out BUT charge me again, the owner of the company insisted this was deterioration rather than them not fitting it back correctly, the fire has no internal deterioration and has fallen down because it was not put back right. Use at your own risk, if you have to call them back for any reason or issues they will charge you again they will dismiss any chance of them doing wrong.
