We are a family run business, that provide gas and heating requirements to our customers in Chelmsford and surrounding areas. Our services include: domestic and commercial gas Installations breakdowns & servicing, we also offer a commercial catering installation and repair service.

Our engineers are fully qualified in accordance with the Gas Safe Register and always work to best practices, giving you the peace of mind that whoever is working in your home or business is fully qualified to be carrying out the work to the highest of standards.

Chelmsford Gas Services was founded in 2011 By Mr Richard Goodyear, after successfully running a plumbing and heating company for over 12 years the decision was made to set up a specialist gas heating and repair company.

We will completed a full survey for you, then help with selecting a new DFE (decorative flame effect) or LFE (living flame effect) and make sure your new fire is safe for years to come.

Why have a survey?

You will need a survey to determine what type of chimney you have, if your chimney needs a liner or a new terminal, or maybe you don’t have a chimney then you will need a power flue, both ways required a survey.

After the survey we can help you decide what fire you would like, inset/outset? glass fronted? remote control/slide control?

We can install a commercial Warm air heating system, whether you require radiant heating , warm air or a wet boiler-based heating system, from smaller spaces requiring a single heater through to more complex multi heater/multi zone installations. We work with a large range of warm air heaters, radiant and boiler based products to enable the correct selection of the right product for the right job optimising comfort levels, reliability and cost.

Warm air space heating systems use a fan to draw air in from the space being heated, pass it across a heat exchanger, and distribute the warmed air evenly throughout the space. Warm air heating offer considerable flexibility in terms of its location, ensuring the layout of the heating system is optimised for the configuration of the space being heated.

All our boiler serving is carried out to the manufactures instructions all boilers are diffident and many much likes with cars require diffident service intervals but in general a boiler service will consist of approximately 30 checks, but this will vary with different appliances and manufacturers.
