Devon Heating services can supply and install a wood-fuelled heating system, also known as a biomass system. These systems burn wood pellets, chips or logs to provide warmth in one room or to power central heating and hot water boilers.
A biomass stove burns logs or pellets to heat a single room. It may also be fitted with a back boiler to provide water heating. A biomass boiler burns logs, pellets or chips, and is connected to the central heating and hot water system. A wood-fuelled biomass boiler could save you up to £880 a year compared to electric heating (source: Energy Saving Trust).
By installing a biomass boiler you may also be able to generate income through the government's Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI).
